Tribal armor from Borneo (Indonesia)

This impressive tribal breastplate is made of woven plant fibers and covered with finely hand-assembled bone plates. Each element is precisely stitched, forming a scale-like structure offering both protection and aesthetic appeal. This type of armor was traditionally worn by warriors during tribal conflicts, as well as during ritual ceremonies and prestige demonstrations.
